I agree with Mary about the Dominican Republic, I can't say I know much about it, but I did visit once and saw a lot of poverty as soon as you left the tourist area. I saw this on the news this morning. I also wonder if he would be one of them if everything he knew suddenly collapsed around him. What I saw were people of great faith in the midst of disaster. And I also wonder if he has ever set foot in the Dominican Republic. For all the hotels, etc., it is certainly not a country I would call "prosperous". And then try and justify his words by saying "we're going to help them out & pray for them now". Give me a break.
