It takes a little bit of setup work but it's not hard (from what I can tell, anyway - I just started trying some of it out today). Lifehacker just had an article about it this week & posted a link to this site: http://www.allfacebook.com/2009/02/facebook-privacy/ It talks about how to use Friend groups to allow certain people to see your stuff, but not everyone, and has a lot of other useful tips as well.
